Juniors Overview

The Leicestershire & Rutland Golf Union runs a number of Junior Boys teams and compete in the Anglian and Midland Leagues. The highlight of the year is the Midland Group Qualifying for the English County Boys Finals.

In addition to the League games and the Midland Qualifying, the L&RGU also compete at Under 18s level in the BUT Trophy each year against Norfolk and Bedfordshire as well for the Tom Finn Trophy (U16s) and the Keith Tripp Trophy (U14s). A comprehensive training and development programme for junior golfers underpins match performance. Alongside elite level golf, the Union organises a Juniors League as well as the Foxes Junior Pathway Tour throughout the summer. All junior golfers are encouraged to play in the numerous Open Competitions arranged by the L&R Mens and Ladies Golf Unions, member clubs and other EG registered event organisations.
